The question(s) I have is trying to determine if and how it differs from Hypnotherapy (which I think I mentioned I got started on with actually seeing a hypnotherapist but wasn't convinced I was on the right track with her), and which one I think would be more effective. What I'm getting from the other responses is that the purpose and benefit of Biofeedback is an overall reduction in stress and anxiety which may reduce IBS symptoms whereas Hypnosis can be directed specifically toward the brain/gut connection with improvements in stress and anxiety happening naturally as a result. Also, it seems as though the biofeedback works best for IBS-C and I am IBS-D -------------------- IBS-D. Or so a doctor says. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
