I had a partial hysterectomy about a week and a half ago and was given two rounds of antibiotics. At the time I was a little nervouse they would make my urgency worse. I had them given to me on Thursday and ended up not having to even go to the restroom until Sunday. Hopefully that is a sign that they will not affect me in a bad way and so far I have been ok. Before I went in for my surgery I was taking a probiotic though for about 3 weeks or so prior so maybe that helped. I definately need to start them back up just for good measure. Has anyone else been safe taking antibiotics? I thought they would always have a bad affect on ibs.
