Movicol is an osmotic laxative containing polyethlene glycol and Duspatal commonly known as mebeverine is a antispasmodic sometimes prescribed for IBS. I am IBS-D have no need for a laxative. I have tried a number of antispasmodics including mebeverine. They have never worked for me.
