Antispasmodics are used for short term relieve of pain in all types of IBS. The commonly used antispasmodics are hyoscine, cimetropium, and pinaverium. There are very few studies on the efficacy of long term use of antispasmodics.

What does your GI doctor suggest you do to manage your IBS-C?
