Another thing I wanted to mention to you is to make sure you get some fat. I can't remember exactly if you were low or medium; I was just thinking of it this morning and wanted to mention a medium intake of fat (up to 25% with each meal/snack) works well.
For low cal you can go with cooked carrots, squash, sweet potatoes and mushrooms. I feel getting SF from fruits and veggies is healthiest, or from brown rice or barley or oats. I can handle raw baby carrots but my jaw doesn't like them.
I am fine with a few almonds; you could try them. I ate way too many last night and felt yucky. I also like an egg white omelet with mushrooms and spinach and some soy cheese. It is light and the spinach is an easy IF source. Peas, well cooked green beans and asparagus are also easier IF veggies, as well as other cooked greens. For me having a banana or mango then an IF fruit as snacks works well. I can even eat pineapple alone as my afternoon snack (but can't recommend it).

Another option for low cal SF is to have your SFS as part of a meal, being the SF source to some extent.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
