IMO someone IBS-C needs to be brave and try more IF. Someone IBS-D needs very little of it until very stable. You're right that berries and soy have some IF but I would try having IF with everything you eat. The same goes for fat and C. Never go overboard with either ! but IF and fats are important for regularity.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
