Oh, good point about the flax being high in FAT. I almost forgot about that aspect, and I have to be double careful about fats because I have no gall bladder. I only use a teaspoon full now, maybe a little less as I know it can be a trigger, just like all seeds and nuts high in fat and/or insoluble fiber. I guess best to take the wait and see approach and then when you do dive into them only a tiny bit, maybe even just 1/4 or 1/3 teaspoon to see how it sets. To tell the truth I didn't start back on flax for a year after the onset of this IBS..........scared to.
