My triglycerides are high, also, but they have been for years so I can't really blame the Diet. It could be too many simple starches but if you're eating a lot of sugar (like me) I'd try cutting back on that first. Alcohol is also supposed to be a driver for triglycerides but presumably you're not consuming that. Exercise should help bring your triglycerides down, also.

One last thing. My endocrinologist told me once that if your thyroid is out of whack your triglycerides could be, too. So you might get your thyroid checked out if you haven't already.

If you can't get those triglycerides down, try seeing a nutritionist and bring along the list of Soluble Fiber foods. She should be able to help you choose the Soluble Fiber foods that will not raise your cholesterol while still leaving you the SF base you need to keep your IBS under control.
