1. yes! I would be on the diet, for the most part, without having IBS.
2. I don't eat my veggies mushy but I don't have major issues with IF. Carrots are more nutritious cooked though. I take a multivitamin too and eat Luna bars.
2? (there are two twos) I eat tons of calories, but my body prefers I don't.
3. Trial and error. Basically pushing the limits now and again has shown me I am ok with alot of IF but not okay with more fat.
4. I have been perfect for many months in the past but now I am bloated and gassy nearly everyday. However I rarely have c or d and only when I screw up. My d is very tolerable when it does happen and it is always my fault.

Hope this helps

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
