Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Could use some advice for 4yr old ds

Hi

My ds has been a medical mystery all his life....GI problems/reflux etc
As a baby he never seemed to tolerate baby food....every reflux med we tried didn't help
He's had skin testing and the RAST done several times and all was negative
I started keeping a food diary and realized he had issues with gluten and fructose (mostly all fruits...)
At first we went GF and his symptoms improved but then we would have really bad days and I couldn't figure out why
He had a horrible reaction to grapes, raisins, banana, apple corn etc
I was given the big brush off from ALL the Dr because even though he is small...I guess he isn't 'sick' enough
I am so confused as to what he can and can't eat, and where to go from here since we can't seem to work it out
I recently started a VERY (what i thoughT) was strict fructose free diet
I think he's having a problem with one of the 'new' foods
I added in which are eggs, egg noodles, and cheeto type product from whole foods...first ing is corn meal)
The cheeto type product doesn't have ANY sugar added
I don't think Zach does well with a lot of corn products but from what I've read corn meal should be ok
I've also read gluten (pasta) should be OK...but a link I saw from this site made it seem gf was the best option?
The thought of having Zach got fructose and gluten free is a little overwhelming..I just don't know what to feed him anymore

I'm thinking of seeing a GI for testing, but before putting him through that (and is it 100% conclusive?) I wanted to see how he responded to the diet
