Hi Cers!
I have been taking FiberChoice which seems to be helping... I also get a lot of IF in my diet! I can occasionally get away with eating salads with snap peas, bean sprouts, sometimes even peppers! But I'll tell you how I get away with it... I take the digestive enzyme Beano (3 tablets) with almost every meal, along with Heather's Peppermint Capsules, a Calcium and Magnesium supplement (these apparently work as natural muscle relaxers... if you are familiar with Rolaids, they are actually made out of Calcium and Magnesium, makes sense), and a probiotic (Acidophilus). These are extremely helpful in helping digest IF. I even get away with whole grain bread every so often which is much tastier than the white stuff! I highly recommend Beano... if I remember correctly, it didn't work as well at first but stick with it in conjunction with some of these other suggestions. I am much more stable than I used to be.
Best of luck to all of you.
