The point of using a SFS is this: As you increase the amount of SFS you are taking, you can slowly decrease the SF you're getting from food and increase the amount of IF you are eating. So, the SFS allows you to eat more IF (Cers need more of this than Ders) without increasing the overall amount of food you are eating. Make sense? Acacia definitely helped me with bloating and gas, and it allows me to eat more IF than I did before.
You need to VERY slowly increase your SFS. If you do it too quickly, you will get gassy and bloated. When I first started acacia, I took 1/8 teaspoon twice a day. After a week at that dose, I spent a week slowly increasing my dose to 1/4 teaspoon in the morning and 1/8 teaspoon at night. Then I stayed at that dose for a week. Etc, etc.... I think you get the picture.
