Hi - you're fine adding it to moist foods like oatmeal.

What is your current dose? You need to start at a low dose of 1/2 tsp. twice a day, and gradually increase. Every 4-5 days or so add an extra 1/2 tsp to one of your doses. Just keep going up steadily and slowly like that.

Diarrhea tends to resolve at the lower end of the dose range. Average dose is about 2- tablespoons per day (this is an average, not a goal). Constipation can take the upper end of the dose range, anywhere from 4-5 tablespoons per day.

FYI, there are three teaspoons in one tablespoon.
