Also, do you take a soluble fiber supplement? IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion. You get the diagnosis after you've had the necessary tests and been examined to rule out any physical causes of your problems. Along with the colonscopy, I had an upper GI endoscopy and also x-rays and a barium swallow (ick).
