Maybe you haven't reached a high enough amount yet? Are you still taking a probiotic or Dig. Enzymes?
Yeah, it's possible that I'd need to take more (now 1.5t twice a day). But I also feel like it's just unnatural to take that much fiber just from supplements. At the same time I realize that I can't eat too many IF rich foods either.
Right now I'm not doing any enzymes or probiotics. I finished the VSL#3 with no results so I feel like I should just give my body a break for a few weeks.
I'm not sure if I can help you with picking out which diet to go with. Do you remember which one made you feel less bad just on its own? I'd start with that one but tweak it a little and incorporate something what you find beneficial from the other diet. Like I know for a fact that fatty foods bother me regardless of whether they do or do not contain gluten. So I stay away from those. I think the EFI diet is a very good place to start but then we really need to customize it to our needs. For me I believe that it can really help with diarrhea and somewhat with constipation but I don't think it's effective on its own when it comes to treating bloating. Bloating is one of my biggest problems so I'm looking elsewhere to take care of it. That's why I'm trying GF.
I really hope you find out which approach is the best for you!
