I am a new member. I have struggled with IBS & constipation for over 20 years. Last year, I finallly had my gallbladder removed and the constant lower stomach pain ended slowly. Now my concern is the medication my doctor has me on. I have taken Glycolax for over a year to have a bowel movement. Now that it has been discontinued - I am on Miralax. Is this safe to take for the rest of my life? Or am I further damaging my ability to have a bowel movement on my own?
