When I was diagnosed with IBS, I went on Heather's diet. The diarrhea and cramping quickly came under control. As months passed, I gradually added foods back into my diet, one by one. I found that I still have serious trouble with tomatoes, whole wheat, green beans, solid chocolate, and brewed coffee, regardless of whether I eat them at the end of a high soluble fiber meal. I missed coffee the most. At a friend's suggestion I tried toddy coffee, a cold-brewed coffee made with a toddy coffee maker. It has 2/3 less acid than coffee brewed with heat. I've had no problems at all with toddy coffee. It's incredibly smooth and delicious and easy on the gut. If you would like to try it, here's the link: www.toddycafe.com/
