Well, it's good to know that I'm not the only one stuck with an ineffective GI specialist. He did not help me ONE BIT with my IBS. After his diagnosis and the confirmation with the colonoscopy, I was history to him! When I called his office, complaining of severe cramping, diarrhea, gas and bloating, and wanting advice and/or some kind of meds, he told his nurse to tell me to call my primary physician. I haven't heard from him since. Obviously my GI "specialist" was on to the next victim. My primary physician was good enough to prescribe whatever meds I wanted, but he never offered any help or advice. That help and advice I got from Heather, Michael, and this website. What's up with doctors and IBS?!? Bev
