Surgery and Acacia

After visits with a colon/rectal specialist and GYN for constipation/rectal issues, tests showed I have a rectocele, along with the uterus and bladder dropping. First started seeing Physical Therapist to help with pelvic floor issues, however GYN doc said no PT therapy would correct my problems. Next month I'm having uterus removed, along with repairing rectocele and bladder. This will hopefully help my constipation and discomfort issues. The 12 hours before surgery I cannot eat/drink and need to clean my bowels out so I am empty. Then with surgery the body is pretty much shut down. (I also believe one of the big issues is getting the bowels to move after surgery). Hopefully I won't need too much in the way of pain meds 'cuz I know they cause constipation. My question is this: After coming out of surgery do I start taking the same amount of Acacia powder as prior to surgery or do I start out at a lower dosage??? I started using Acacia about two months ago and I have really felt the benefits and I hate to think I need to start from scratch. Any suggestions as to what steps to initially take right after surgery to get one's body up and running without putting it in overdrive with gas, etc???? Also, any recommendations as to what to use for pain control that will not cause constipation???

Thanks.
