hi all
sorry it's been so long i've just finished with finals and trying to resume back to a normal life until class starts again.
any way, i've been having a major problem with an external Hemorrhoid, which my dr says is not that large, but honestly, i do not care as it is rather painful...ok EXTREMELY painful....those of you who have them know what i'm talking about.
off and on for the past 3 months i've been using tea tree oil, analpram, anamantle, sitz baths, and medicated wipes to help, but all have miserably failed (though the tea tree fixed a fissure). i am going to discuss with my dr. what can be done to remove this hemme, but incredibly anxious about the pain involved in the procedure. i know that they can be cut out, have botox injected, lasered, or have an agent injected that makes them scar. if anyone has had any of these procedures could you please give me some advice as to which one is better or if you had any complications? i am not sure about the option to turn them into scars or have incisions as i tend to keloid scar (big scars like africans) which can make the problem potentially worse. i had a mole removed on my shoulder and the mole was small and flat and now i have a huge scar that i have taken injections in to flatten and might have to see and plastic surgeon to remove. it is painful in hot or cold temps. i've also seen many "natural cures" posted on the internet for these hemmes which i really don't trust.
i'm very scared, but i know the pain involved on a daily basis is about as bad as it can get...though i admit rectal surgery while conscious has the added benefit of embarassment. i have my ibsd under control, and now this has dampered my day.
thanks in advance amy
