Angel, I do not believe that God burdens us beyond our capacity. A "living hell" is what, to me, Chris Reeves is going through. If you listen to others' problems, I don't really believe you would trade places with them. IBS is what we've been dealt, and how we deal with it determines what we're made of. Think of it as character-building. After all, there is a lot more to us than how pregnant we might look in our loose-fitting maternity pants. If people characterize us by the size of our big bellies, they're not worth our time. While I haven't weighed 110 pounds for over 40 years, I wouldn't want to go back to those days for any amount of weight loss! I am glad I am where I am in life, despite the fact that I look pregnant in my sweat pants. This IBS has made me a much stronger person, and, in fact, brought me and my husband much closer together than we've ever been. No, I would not go back to the days before IBS -- I'm looking forward, not back.
