Soluble fiber is still soluble fiber wherever you go. Noodles, rice, naan, pasta, bread, potatoes etc. etc. can still form the basis of your meals. As for food poisoning, well, the occasional bout of stomach dodginess is all part of the fun of being in developing countries! Don't drink the water! But take your opportunities. There's no way I'd let my IBS stop me from going overseas. Lots of people get constipated when travelling, ibs or not, that's very normal as it's a major change in routine, sleeping patterns, environment, etc. etc. Enjoy!! Lucky you!!!!
