I think Gracie's right. I'm sorry you panicked so much and are suffering as a result. I've done similar things to you before and it really messes me up for a few days. I've now learnt that it's really important to not let yourself get strung out over these things because it's psychologically harmful and if done regularly becomes habit forming which is when things really start to go downhill (i've been there unfortunately). I'd suggest self-talking i.e. just say things to yourself like "don't panic, it'll be ok at some point, i'm more than my IBS and my body". It may sound ridiculous but it really helps me. I also try to think about positive things such as things i love to do and my strengths so that my self-esteem doesn't get affected too much as when one is low in confidence it's much harder to deal with blips in diet and stressors.
