I have read the diet information on the site and I do have Heather's book. I think I am having a hard time grasping how to add extra SF and limiting IF. I have cut back on wheat because I used to eat so much that it was giving me problems. Also, I was wondering how much soy is healthy per day? I have always eaten soy but have added more recently. I am severly lactose intolerant and have been trying the cheese and other soy products.
Wait a sec - do you mean increasing IF and limiting SF? Actually, Heather's diet means you start out with a base of SF for every meal and add as much IF as you can handle. (With the caveat that you can try cooking or chopping up your IF to make it easier to handle.)
Since Heather's diet has *no* dairy, the lactose intolerance shouldn't matter. There's plenty of non-soy ways to get protein in your diet: chicken or turkey breast, fish and seafood(including tuna packed in water), lentils and other beans (hummus!), nut butters in moderation.... Check out the recipe index for inspiration!
