Hi,
I had a question for anyone with reflux along with IBS. I've searched the posts quite a bit and have found mixed reviews about different type of GERD meds and their side effects. Some people have said they get D as one from certain meds, others not so much. I am currently on Prevacid and I know it definitely helps my reflux. I don't think it is causing me more D, but I am not sure. Is there anyone out there who takes this type of med (lansoprazole) and find that it actually helps your IBS symptoms? I mainly ask because I have to take a H.pylori breath test next week, and my doctor told me I couldn't take my prevacid, and as a result my IBS symptoms seem to have been worse the last couple days. Could the extra acidity be causing more D and gas? Sorry, for the long post, IBS is a never-ending mystery Thanks!
