Your best bet is to talk to your doctor about it. I was sure I had a hiatal hernia from what I'd read online. I couldn't believe that it could "only" be reflux. But my shortness of breath, tightness in my chest, my chest spasms, along with the acid and the burping were all due to the reflux.
