In the past I took Citrucel to help me through a "D" flare-up, had no real difficulty with it except the drinking of it, so after this latest severe "D" flare-up I ordered the Acacia Fiber. I have been taking it for a little over 3 weeks now, up to 1 1/2 tsp twice a day. I have been alternating between frequent soft unformed BM's and "C" a day without any when I felt I needed to go but couldn't, so uncomfortable and a new feeling for me. Now over the last couple of days I have developed a slight nauseaous feeling especially after taking the fiber(I drink it with a full glass of water),I am ready to give up on it especially as I have lots of bloating and gas too. I am trying to introduce IF but as it makes the bloating worse, I'm still not eating some of the things I should, mostly eating just SF stuff. I drink a lot of herb teas and water. I am wondering if I should stop taking the Acacia Fiber, or increase the dose, I read on this Board that several of you have had problems getting stablized with it, maybe I'm expecting too much too soon! Thanks for any input on this.
