All the foods you list are primarily starch. They ALSO contain a little SF. People on this board tend to label them SF to make it clearer that those are safe foods. They are not "purely SF" though.

Adding acacia you add just SF, not starch. Eating just pasta, white bread and potatoes, i doubt you will be able to get all the SF you need (isn't the recommendation something like 25 g of fiber a day?).

I am IBS-C and for me Acacia helps to have IF. IF is what will make you go, but you can't just take IF, because it will hurt your tummy. So you take it in conjunction with SF (where you figure out the ratio yourself). I don't think SF helps constipation otherwise... Not to me anyway... but I only take very little acacia (aroung 1 T a day)
