Hello, I have been following Heather's diet very closely for about 45 days and have seen considerable improvement. I want to make sure I'm following directions properly so I can continue to get better.
Through reading this website and Heather's books, I have come to understand that if I am about to eat a meal that is primarily insoluble fiber, I should take a fiber supplement beforehand (if I'm in a situation that did not allow me to add more soluble food to the meal).
My question is this: is there a certain amount of time I should wait before eating the meal? The "rules" say that you should always eat soluble fiber first, but I wasn't sure if you needed to wait, especially when taking a pill versus food.
Since it's not always feasible to have soluble food handy, I thought a fiber pill would be a good stand-in. I just wanted to make sure the soluble food and fiber pill both worked in a similar way (in terms of how long I should wait before eating.) I usually eat soluble food and then immediately eat whatever is insoluble - in other words, no waiting at all.
I haven't used fiber pills yet, I've just been using Acacia, but it's not always practical and I wanted to see what my options were.
Thanks very much! Cara
