Probiotics: VSL and Align

Hi, I am going to switch my probiotic from store bought jarrodophillus to either VSL or Align.

I was all set to do VSL until my latest visit with the GI Doctor.
I had considered VSL because it was recommended and has a lot more bacteria than tradional storebought acidophillus.
However the doctor said there was more data for Align, that is was cheaper, and VSL tasted poor.

I was going to do Align until I read it contains milk ingredients.
I am very concerned because while it does not have lactose, milk ingredients irregardless bother me.
I wanted to ask
1) Is the amount of milk ingredients in Align, even if small, alarming or signifcant enough to be avoided?
2) Have any of you tried VSL or Align, and what is your thoughts?
3) Considering my track record, SIBO, feeling worse after Zelnorm, no help with Rifaxmin, bloating, trapped gas, and c as my problems, which one if any is the better decision?
Thanks.
