Ghee although lactose free is not an IBS friendly oil and it is very high in fat in particular the bad kind of fats.
Ghee contains 32% monounsaturated, 65% saturated, and 3% polyunsaturated fats. Compare this to olive oil, an IBS friendly oil in small amount, which contains 73% monounsaturated, 11% polyunsaturated and 14% saturated fats.
Ghee is primarily composed of saturated fats while olive oil is primarily composed of monosaturated fats that is why Ghee does not burn at high temperatures.
