metamucil, calcium, constipation?       10/06/06 04:26 PM Edit Reply Quote Aggiegal Reged: 10/06/06 Posts: 2 I've searched the board looking for the link between Metamucil and constipation and am still a little confused. Can Metamucil in combination with Acacia fiber really relieve constipation? I'm afraid to try anything new because my constipation has landed me in the ER once this year already(intestinal obstruction). Also, I was just diagnosed with osteopenia and was told to take 1500mg/day of calcium. I'm afraid this will also aggravate my constipation. My doctors don't seem to know much about IBS and it's very discouraging. Thanks for any advice anyone can offer on this subject. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
