Hi everybody!

I have seen that quite a few of you IBS-D-ers out there are taking loperamide (e.g. Imodium) to keep your D under control. And some of you seem to take quite a lot of it too! I have IBS-D and for me loperamide has been a real life saver. There was one period in time though last winter when I took a relatively high dose but still got bad D problems. I don't have any proof but my theory is that it might be because I changed the dose a lot back and forth then. So now I try to keep the dose constant as much as possible. I take one dose in the morning and one in the evening. If I have to decrease the dose I keep the lower dose until I get problems with D and if I need to increase the dose I keep the higher dose until I feel the bowels get too slow. Just wanted to mention it, in case it can help anyone else.
