I certainly don't - in fact, I feel loads better than I did when I was in denial. I have so many fewer lousy days, because now I know what to do to feel better. IBS can be controlled, and you can feel fabulous most of the time. But you can't control it completely, and it won't go away if you ignore it. Acceptance means that you do what you need to do to feel better (eat the right foods, control your stress, etc.). Acceptance means that you don't freak out when the odd attack occurs - you remember to eat comforting foods and relax just like you would as if it were a cold. Acceptance means that you don't make yourself sicker by constant worry or trying to eat like everyone else or depriving yourself of sleep. --AC Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
