Diabetes doesn't really cover the same symptoms as IBS. Symptoms of diabetes would be tired, thirsty, and urinating a lot. Type 1 is almost always found in young people (under age 30) and found pretty quickly as you would be very ill very fast. Type 2 is usually later in life and slower to develop. Both can be tested really easily through a blood test. They'll ask you to fast and then test your blood sugar levels. If your blood sugar is high then you could have diabetes.
