Hi. I've been reading a lot at this site since discovering it a few days ago. I also got a hold of Heather's recipie book. My challenge is that, in addition to the IBS -C I've also got a ton of food allergies. Most of the recipies contain things I'm allergic to. (e.g. Fish, eggs, nuts, sesame, tropical fruit, etc.)
So I want to try to concentrate more on the supplements approach to reducing bloating, gas pain, and constipation. A few questions: 1. Ever heard of allergies to the acacia? (Haven't tried it yet).
2. I've tried peppermint tea and it had no noticeable effect. Would the effect of the enteric-coated pills be significantly greater?
3. I'm not a picky eater (as long as I'm not allergic to it), but one of the few flavors I really dislike is licorice. So I'm wondering if there's a non-tea version (some kind of pill?) for the fennel?
