Morning all
So, yesterday AM I had a nasty attack and hunted around until I found this website. I suppose I've been putting the research off until my official diagnosis but, after reading this site and all of your posts, I now know it's just a formality and I might as well start getting serious.
The problem was it was Saturday and I had a nice meal in planned with my bf. Still, my stomach had settled by the evening and I knew what chinese meal was the kindest on my tum so I ate half of it, a little of the rice and had my own side order of sugarsnap peas (I think they're called something else in the US - snow peas?)
Anyway, I just had two glasses of bacardi instead of the usual four and only half of the chocolate I'd planned (not 'cause chocolate's a problem for me but 'cause I knew I'd eaten enough) and I just feel so proud of myself.
I've had weight problems over the years 'cause I comfort eat and you can imagine the vicious circle I've been getting myself in over this IBS. Get stressed, get ill, get stressed, eat more, get ill ..... :
Maybe I have this thing cracked! Probably early days to be getting too confident though!
Can you guys have alcohol in moderation or have some of you needed to give it up? What about chocolate? Most is OK but I avoid the processed stuff and go for really yummy organic. Do you have Green & Black's over there?
