Hi, yikes! I haven't heard of anything like this before. Since you were okay with peppermint tea for many months, I think you're fine to keep using that but I'd stop the capsules in case it is the ginger or fennel.

Have you used any new laundry soap, or shower soap or lotion? Or had any chemicals in the house (like a newly refinished piece of wood, or painting)? I've had skin reactions to fumes from those kind of things. Once we had closets installed with a shelves and dividers and such, and the particle board they used off-gassed something that made my skin flush and itch for weeks. I had to sleep on the sofa because I couldn't stand it in my bedroom.

The other thing it could be, given the time of year, is the switch to dry, hot indoor air if you've started heating the house. Try boiling a kettle full of water into the air a couple times of day to give some humidity.
