Soluble fiber is also good for your gut... so that's a good move on 2 counts there. I'm 99.9% symptom-free, and I consume HFCS all the time. On the other hand, artificial sweeteners - ALL of them - just about kill me. It's amazing how different IBS can be for each individual person... that's what makes it so hard to treat. But anyway, the bottom line (for everyone) is that HFCS *and* artificial sweeteners ARE both known problematic substances for IBS sufferers, and if you're trying to eliminate your symptoms, eliminating BOTH of those items is a good idea.
