As an IBS sufferer myself, I try to omit dairy products from my diet as much as possible...but with that
goes the calcium. So now I take a calcium supplement called Viactiv Calcium Chews which you can buy at just about
any grocery store (near the vitamins). 2 chews will give you your daily allowance of Calcium and they come
in all kinds of flavors including caramel, chocolate, chocolate mint, orange cream, and strawberry cream.
I like the caramel the best.

In any case, if you do end up taking calcium this way...be sure to supplement with Magnesium and Zinc.
I take one Mg tablet a day (250 mg) and the brand I use is Nature Made. I get Zinc from my One-A-Day
multi-vitamin. Your body needs Mg and Zn to absorb Calcium.

I realize these are supplements and recommend getting as many vitamins and minerals from natural
foods as possible. So to answer your question about calcium-containing foods, you might try tofu, corn tortillas,
almonds, sesame seeds, and bread (a slice has 10-15% of your Ca RDA).

Hope that helps. If you are taking a multi-vitamin or have any recommendations, I would love to hear them.
