Don't cut out fruits and vegetables - the trick for IBSers is learning to eat them safely. Smoothies are great, as are some of the fruit and vegetable breads in Heather's EFI book and on the Recipe Board. Additionally, some fruits and vegetables are SF themselves. As for exercise, it's great for IBS, too.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with both these conditions at once, but I don't think combining the two regimens will be a problem. Be sure to read Heather's info outside the Boards - that's the best way to get a handle on the Diet. And I highly recommend you find a copy of "The First Year-IBS" - your local library may have it or you can order it.
