Hi Sand, I think you did, and thank you again for very nice card! The pic below was actually taken in 1999 in South Africa.The mountain in the background is called Isandlwana and is in Zululand. Th British Army suffered it's worst defeat in it's history on the morning of Jan.22,1879,1300 British soldiers and African allies were wiped out by a Zulu Army of some 10000 men. On the next day, the British Army had it's most spectacular defensive victory at a nearby post called "Rorke's Drift" where 140 men of the 2nd Warwickshire Battalion,24th Regiment of foot,B Company, repelled a ten hour attack of 4000 Zulus. After the Zulus suffered 1500 casulties, they withdrew. B Company lost only 40 men. Eleven Victoria Crosses(highest medal in the army) were awarded to the remaining defenders, by comparison,six Victoria Crosses were awarded in all of World War II. -Bob
