Soy butter ROCKS! I LOVE the stuff! "Soy Garden" or "Earth Balance" are both incredible, and you can even cook with it as you would margarine.
Spray "butter" I use: Canola oil spray (store brand), but PAM works fine too.
Milk -- I LOVE Soy Dream Vanilla. Hubby has gotten used to it as well. However, for cooking, I like the soy "milk" powder that you get at the health food store. It keeps in your pantry forever. You just mix 2T of the powder with 8 oz. of water, and bingo you have yourself a cup of "milk" for cooking. BTW, don't confuse the "milk" powder with the protein powder. They're not the same. (I use the vanilla Soy Dream whenever a recipe calls for something sweet; otherwise, I use the dry powder.)
During the holidays, you can find Soy Dream "egg" nog, and I swear it's to die for. YUMMM-OH! I substitute the "egg" nog in my waffle recipe and my pancake recipe. Ooooh, baby!
Cereal without milk? Well, okay, try the Reduced-Fat Granola; you can just eat it out of the box, it's yummy.
If your grocery store doesn't have a good health food department, find the nearest Trader Joe's or other good health food store. You'll be amazed at all the great stuff for IBS. Do you like pizza? Amy's frozen SOY cheese pizza is fabulous! But you gotta find it in the health food store, not at Fred Meyer. Also, the soy cheese variety at the health food store is amazing. My fave is "Veggie Slices" -- the American flavor makes a great grilled cheese samich!
And don't forget the "Soy Dream" "ice cream", oh yeah! Mocha Fudge is my fave, next to plain old "Vanilla." To die for.
Gee, I'm gettin' hungry....
