Yep, old fashioned rolled oats. I buy Quaker or Shurfine (a regional store brand). I cook them with one cup of soy milk, not water. Because I fix my breakfast at work, I usually fix it in the microwave. It has a different texture if cooked on the stovetop at home.
Oatmeal is my breakfast at least 5 days a week. I started eating it to feel more stable in the morning. Now, I just REALLY like my oatmeal.
Oatmeal is my buddy, but it doesn't work for all. Someone around here around here calls it outmeal instead. You will have to experiment a bit to find out if it works for you, not just with oatmeal, but with other foods too. Good luck.
