I just read an article in the October issue of Prevention magazine where a lady wrote in asking if there was anything she could do to make "her farts less smelly". ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif)
The RD explained how as bacteria in the colon ferment indigestible bits of food, smelly gas results. Sulfur-rich foods, such as broccoli, cauliflower, and beans, and sorbitol produce a particularly pungent odor. But by drinking a half-cup of cranberry juice a day can help cut the smell; it contains phytochemicals that suppress the odor-causing bacteria. Other foods with deodorizing ingredients include yogurt (off limits for us), parsley, and mint leaves.
So, cranberry is safe for us to drink, right? I will try this if it is! I guess you would drink it after the meal?
