Hi there,

If you do a search on the boards, you will find that some people do feel worse when they are taking anti-biotics. That being said, I have heard of some people that feel BETTER on anti-biotics, so who knows??

For me personally, I would take the anti-biotics.. even though I am one of the unlucky ones that gets sick on them, unless I take precautions(which I'll explain in a sec). One of the main reasons I would keep taking them is because you DEFINITELY don't want to deal with an infection by not taking them. I had dry socket after my wisdom teeth out, and it wasn't very pleasant. If you get a prescription, it's probably wise to take it.

That being said, by knowing that it might possibly be a trigger you are already a step ahead of the game so you can do some things to try and prevent any ill-effects. First of all, I recommend taking a probiotic. Make sure you get one that is lactose free. And watch the label, some have to be kept in the fridge.
I dunno if you are a D or a C, but as I am a D I also take preventative immodium.
I stock up on peppermint tea, cammomile tea and drink loads of water. While I am on the antibiotics, I also go into "ultra safe" eating mode.

Good luck, hope your mouth is feeling alright and your tummy doesn't give you any trouble!

Cheers!
