Hi Cyndy, I just looked at the first page you posted, and
there wasn't any food or fiber specifics, except that increase
-d fiber may not help. As far as laxatives, I think they're
probably right. I know a woman in my department that supposed-
ly has IBS(although she does not restrict her diet, drinks
tons of coffee, eats ice cream every night, stuff like lasagna
) and she's been taking a 17g dose of Miralax every day for
the last five years without any ill effects. The one catch
about stimulant laxatives is extreme urgency when it's time
to go. I would never use them on a day before classes. -Bob
