Acacia is my buffer. I can't tolerate a lot of rice, brown or white for some reason. But with the Acacia preceeding a meal, I can eat whole wheat, IF or whatever. Keep in mind, foods are pretty open to me right now in my current condition. If I'm unstable, I back off some of the IF, keep fats to a minimum and push the water and exercise. I adjust my regimen depending on my stress level.
But, right now, and for several months, Acacia is my pre-meal buffer. I don't eat anything risky without it, and fruits are risky depending. I can eat an apple more safely than an orange. I can eat a pice of canteloupe safer than an apple....ect.. As a general rule, I really don't snack very much though. When I do snack, I snack safe..pretzels, a cookie, a small piece of birthday cake (things that come up unexpected like dessert at work ect...I just choose base on how stable I am - sometimes I just pass on a snack altogether if I'm iffy)
I'm not trying to be confusing. Just trying to give you enough information to hopefully be of some help. Sorry if I confused you furter.
