I was in between awake and asleep I guess. I could feel that something was going on and there were one or two moments that I remember sort of grunting because something was uncomfortable. But it was over before I knew it. The prep on the other hand was no fun. I didn't drink any fluids at first thinking the gallon of laxative should be enough but I got dehydrated and felt awful for a bit. Its so different for everyone though, a friend did the same prep I did - miralax, and she said it was a breeze. Good luck with it, its really important to go through with it, make sure IBS is what you've got, and get it over with! BTW to Snorkie -I think maybe you meant that you had an endoscopy as sigmoidoscopy is another lovely butt-scope and so I doubt it gave you a sore throat!
