tell me about your colonoscopy...       09/12/05 02:15 PM Edit Reply Quote Dr. Spice Yamin Reged: 04/15/04 Posts: 3286 Loc: Maryland I did a search about colonoscopys but I found alot of the same information. I'm having one in a few weeks and i'm not looking forward to it. My question is what happens when you go in there.. do you strip down totally naked, where do you sit/lay, how long, what can you do after? I'm completely clueless about it all and I'm not looking forward to it. The fact that I can't eat for nearly two days is whats killing me. I can't even go a few hours without massive hunger pains! Another thing is that my doc said i'd get an IV, but it wouldn't be something that puts you to sleep (i.e. not anethisia). He said that it does make some people sleepy and fall asleep, but I'm worried that I'll be one of the few that doesn't fall asleep.
